The Model Bakery

The Model Bakery is a Napa Valley production bakery known for English muffins. The St. Helena page: 1357 Main Street, St. Helena, California, 94574; the location has been a bakery since 1908, and they still bake in original brick ovens built in the 1920s ¹. Those oven dates are the bakery’s.

Karen Mitchell has been proprietor for nearly 30 years, with her daughter Sarah as managing partner; the bakery describes artisan breads made with organic stone-ground flours ². Its “over 100 years” description refers to the St. Helena bakery’s tenure, which the location page dates to 1908.
